For the Google ads, it always says "Ads by Goooooogle"? Why spell it with 6 O's?

I read that it was Google when the media bot hadn't visited and Goooooooogle when it had. I could be wrong though.

Google has alot of domains that are just misspellings of their original domain. Like googel or goooogle. They are all over the name situation

If Google would spell it properly, it would sanbox itself because of backlinks factor with similar anchor texts :)

Yes. That is the answer. Everytime i uploade a new page and refresh the page, it shows some irrelevant ads with the "ads by google" text. When i talk about irrelevant ads, it means some ads based on your domain name or the niche contents of your sites. Lets say your site is mainly about buy dogs, and your newly designed page is about buy cats, it will show buy dogs instead of buy cats.

After few more refreshes, it shows PSAs.

After a while, it shows relevant buy dogs ads with the text "Ads by gooooooogle". :)

Maybe some numerologists suggested them to use 6 'o's. :D

Also, when you get search results each page is represented by an 'o' so at the bottom of the page it says Gooooooooooooooooooooooogle. Why 6 o's? Well, if it was any longer ads would be huge :D

Google just answered this on the Inside AdSense blog

So in other words, it has no significance.

Perhaps it was just a way of putting a nice spin on the whole thing. They were just trying to be a bit different I guess.

Its a way to get people to actually read that its an ad and not miss that part... t he less letters the more chance they wont notice it

If I have a very well known brand and wanted to spend a lot of money advertising it I would use a code in the advertisement that lets me know the ad was from a certain campaign. I image that’s what it was.
