why gmail disabled email alerts to mobile?

    i was using gmail alerts to mobile which send message to your mobile wen u receive a mail...

    that was very usefull for me...but now cant find it on gmail...

    i hav even suggest in google....

    anyone hav new about this prob?

    but it was free in gmail and yahoo

    in rediffmail we have to pay Rs 1.00 for each alert we get..

    its so bad

    in msn live they dont have alerts for Airtell customers..thats really very bad

    Maybe that option was just too costly for them temporary anyway.
