I find my backlinks come up a lot quicker on yahoo, and in searches my site comes up higher than in google, so I would put it down to competition and how often google updates its backlinks and pagerank
i am also one of those who think that yahoo is more difficult than google. i have had no luck so far with yahoo although i should admit that i do not bother with optimising specifically for yahoo
With the new Yahoo! "Pay-For-Review" model it might be relatively easier for sites to get into the directory but getting traffic from your listing is altogether a different story. And now with it's new annual recurring payment policy you have to be extra careful while submitting your site for a review.
IMHO, Yahoo has a large number of competing pages .. It will be better if we know what's the keywords you're targeting .. Since sometimes, it's easier to get high SERPS in Google than in Yahoo ..
Lots of information of traffic from yahoo and google. Let me share with you one fact. One of my site which fares weel in yahoo receives 200-300 uniques from yahoo per day and hardly any traffic from google. Moreover most of the traffic is from USA. SO believe me yahoo does send you lots of traffic but ranking for yahoo is not even that easy which you guys think.
Whether the traffic is from google, bing, or yahoo I'll take them all. I actually get a fair amount of conversions from people finding us on Yahoo but have noticed an increase from traffic from Bing.
Yahoo is never faster than Google in getting new sites and new pages ... Turns out it had been included in Yahoo and ranking well.
Bing search results are now better than Yahoo search results. I dont even know why some people even think Yahoo page rank is better than google PR.
