Why Free?

    Why do people offer free linking in their directory of a PR1+ site? Is it that they're just generous, or do they get something out of it?

    They may want to get more links to fill up their directory categories. An empty PR1 directory wouldn't look too appealing.

    I agree with you, the only wayt to fill up new directories is making an intesive promotion campaign in which the best option is giving away free links ;)
