I've seen it mentioned a couple of times that forums are the best place for making money through adsense. Is this true and is there a reason?
There is some truth to this.. usually repeat forum members dont click on ads.. BUT, my main site is a forum and it makes very good $ from Adsense. I dont even bother showing ads to members, only anonymous visitors.. so, if your forum gets a lot of anonymous traffic, it's possible to make good $.. if you get mostly members, it may not be so easy.
He right, It's the guest traffic that are clicking your ads. People who are new to forums can easily get confused and mistaken an ad for a link. On my forum I have 2 sets sub IDs and 90% of the clicks comes from guest users.
I think this is because forums can attract more traffic these days as compare to conventional websites/blogs. But still, traffic means everything in Adsense. And getting targeted traffic is a thing that requires some real hard work... Good luck,
I think DP is a classic case that you can earn good revenue with a forum using adsense other wise they would not do it.
there are some universal truths one of them is all dofollow link giving forums are more useful for site promotion that mean is usually useful for earning from any niche
It depends on your % of new visitors. Must forums have a high % in returning visitors and a very low % in new visitors. The returning visitors get use to the advertisements and unless you move them around forums typically don't earn much money.
I dont think forums are perfect sites for adsense, blogs are better.. i started to place adsense on my forum just to get a bit of cash (to pay hosting & extra space), it's been only a few weeks but the forum takes up HALF of my webspace already.
I think because of Forum has one domain name only, therefore it can't divers for keyword. All threads some are static page, no moving, no fresh, The fresk and running thread is only good for doing something, but dead thread is no more benefit.
