    Hi Moderators,
I joined this forum to hire talent for my business needs. But I see that I cannot make a requirement post in the services section unless I make few posts and I have a 25 days old account?

Aren't you FORCING me (others) to make bogus posts just to complete this count? I mean, why not create a different section for hire where people like me can straightaway post their requirements?

Or I am not seeing the 'big' picture here?? :)

    Regds.

I understand that it would keep the spammers away..but for the sections like service providers.

Why a spammer would post in a section of HIRE where we can post only if we are posting jobs?

If spammers would post there, then they would post in introduction, general section (like this) and anywhere else.

    Its down to one word
    Credibility (imho)
and you have to post so many posts to get that level of credibility
Rules are rules made up by the owners that have worked well for years

25 posts is too less to start of.

services sections are well maintained and so spammers dont just start off automatically ;)

The rules are the rules, and they're there because that's the way they want it to be run. That's the big picture. Everyone has to follow them; it keeps the peace and it builds a better community. If you don't want to post, you're free to message privately or go somewhere else.

    • You must have been a member for 7 days, not have an overall red reputation and have 10 total posts to post in the Website Review forum.

Meh rules are rules, I don't see mass complaining so they must be working pretty good. And a spammer will spam in as many places as he can access, in the littlest time they can manage, so this requirement is helping tone down spam a lot. I'm for that rule.

Besides, if your just hiring now, whats the rush? Make yourself known around here a bit, network, and relax. "All good things come to those who wait"

    ...my 2 cents ;)
