When for example I enter "headless chicken" in google, using firefox,my site will come up in #20
When I do so using IE,it will come up as #15.
I was tracking it for a week and nothing changed. What seems to be the problem??

Provide your site URL so that we can look into it.

Sounds very weird, rankings are server based and not depending on the visitor or browser. Some differences can occur b/c of differences between datacenters.

website is in my signature. search is my anchor text... 14 for firefox and 10 for IE. Been showing for a week now.
I cleared my cookies, cache and all(who knows...),but nothing changed. Some of my other keywords show similar behaviour, with firefox behind.

I'm using FF on a mac, and I've got you at #18. Good luck! The Toronto wedding photographer market looks like a pit of mad dogs. Wow, those sites are optimized! My niche is a breeze by comparison. Half the top ten arent't even optimized for the term.

I think it depends on datacenter as the other one have said... How come you receive different results?

That's crazy. If the browser were to make difference things will begin to get skewed in favor of some. I am sure there's some other explanation for this.

Right, it depends on server or dc not on browser. I think google is the one who explain this issue.

check your settings in google search.. there is an option to choose the place or location..i.e geography.. if ur location is set to google uk in mozilla and google us or any other in IE then the results will vary for sure..

This is because of link prefetching feature of Mozilla Firefox. To find out more you can visit http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Link_prefetching_FAQ

To turn it off simply type about:config in your firefox location bar, in filter bar type network.prefetch-next, it will appear in the below section and simply double click it. It will turn it false and restart your firefox.

    Hope this solves your problem.

It could be your settings or plugins for the browsers - sometimes more than one result from a site will show one under another, sometimes they wont, depending on the settings.
