I have done everything right with my site, w3c validated, added the sitemaps, no errors at all. Yet google won't index them.. Anyone have any idea what could be happening? The site is in my sig.

kishor212 is assuming that you have created a Google Webmaster account in his post? Have you? Only after you create and validate a webmaster account with Google, can you submit a sitemap. BTW, how many days has it been since you did this?

I have a webmaster tools account as well as many other google services. I also have submitted the sitemap. They were first submitted nov09 and they gradually stopped indexing. now im down to only 2 of over 290 pages. Google says there are no sitemap errors and now html suggestions.

If it's a wordpress site, make sure that privacy is set so that search engines can see it. That may be what's keeping it from getting indexed.

You have to keep submitting these things guys. If you don't see it up there, resubmit! Especially with Caffine integration going on right now.

    And allllllways use xml sitemaps.

Keep submitting each month, you can not just do it once and stop, submit each month and build good links.

What's the point of submitting sitemap every month??? None.
Submit it once and just update it... but you have to remember that having a sitemap is not enough for any search engine to index your website.
I personally don't pay too much attention to them but you need to get some good links and your site will get indexed.... simple.
