i guess because every few people can program java, and it's covered in other forum in Design & Development/programing/java scripts

so the real question is, why have you been a member for 6 months and have almost 1000 posts, and not seen all that DP has on offer? like the java forum

Java and Javascript aren't the same thing.

I believe the reason is that most webmaster do not use Java, use it a little bit, and there are very few hosting services that support this technology, which as expensive or more than Windows Servers.

In my opinion, Java is quite bloated in only has limited usability. It is the kind of thing that makes sense for certain specific projects, but it isn't really a good idea to have Java all over a high-traffic website (or a website that is attempting to garner heavy traffic). It is bad for the server and visitor alike.

But i think you should give a place to Java. There are Java programmers here, I guess that Google search engine and all other Google services are written in Java. Are they?

Not enough people are discussing Java for it to have its own section.

Ok, if you consider Java as spam you may now close this thread. I just wanted to start this because I'm a Java web component developer and found no forum to discuss my issues. Thanks for all your replies.
