Why DP has PR 6....?

This is arguably the best Search Engine Forum on the Net as of Now...Then why does it has just PR 6...While others as http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/ have PR 7.....
REASONS::::::::
1. It doesn't have that ( I don't know what's THAT called... ) Quality content/discussions
2. SEO's here doesn't link to their own profiles ( Imagine !! )..OR it doesn't have enough backlinks.
3. Too much signature links....( or abuse especially here... ) and their open trading..

What do you think and why ?

 

It is because DP is not marketing itself. Otherwise it could have a PR9 .

Yup, thats it. DP understand that a PR9 is not getting them more visitors.

 

what do you mean by that? can u explain it, login? I'm do not know much about how this PR work for the web.

I agree, but they rank really high in the SERPS for LOTS of keywords and phrases.

 

DP doesnt need PR.
Google hates DP as members try to manipulate SERPs & DPers always find new ways to top Google.
Thus DPers are smarter than Google employees , & that's why DP has members than Google has employees

It doesn't really matter as DP is a continuously growing community and has more traffic than that searchengine website.

 

PR means nothing. PR is just a number made up by Google. Traffic and revenue are the only numbers that DP should worry about, and they are doing fine with both.

 

Dp has nothing to do with PR.

If you have good amount of traffic why should one need PR. Traffic is money.

 

I think its because Shawn is NOT SPAMMING and Inflating his PR using SEO... Yes, DP had PR 6 without any SEO... its natural....... If Shaw do some SEO then this forum would get a PR of 11

But see its about the democratic nature of the web as google judges it..what it means is people talk about something..... they leaves link/content..and the page got importance....rather than saying how we can tamper or market it...Google try to ( TRY...) to implement the democracy on web...I am not commenting on their success rate..If its that talk about then where are links ???? ( natural ones )....

This might appears to be a more solid reason even above my Comment-

...DP has a hundreds of members who are really world class Optimizers.....and many are great marketers/temperers too ..( sorry....in google eyes) ...

 

They are more concern on traffic not on PR thats why SERP is more important.
