Simple HTML is easiest for users to find what they're looking for. Why don't people design in simple HTML instead of flash? It's a simple question.
It is all in the webmaster's preference. Some like flash because its harder to steal content. Some like it for the effects that can be created.
It really depends on the audience you are targeting and your committment to Interoperability and Accessibility. If you are so committed, then you will want to produce web pages that are simple, straight-forward and eminently navigable. Always keep in mind two primary principles: It is the quality and usefulness of the content and the ease of navigation through it that are of the greatest importance to most web page users. You can't get every page to look identical, so stop trying! James
Answer is, You are all wrong. HTML is the largest used coding language on the web. People just rather include it in PHP
I think it depends on the purpose of the website contents. Sometimes to attract visitors for clicking your content, you'll need flashy and eye-catching animation. That's what I think.
yeah, depends on the purpose of the site. using flash will make site more attractive and versitile, if they donot care the seo issue.
My guess would be that people can't get their pages to layout like they want them to based on HTML alone.
This days i see less websites in flash but html/css more. And you can make any layout with html/css if you have skills not like xenobiologist sad
I meant to say that people have problems using tables to design with. With the addition of CSS you can get your layouts to work well if you know how to design with CSS. Hence why I said HTML not HTML/CSS.
Personally I use HTML and CSS and I don`t like flash because of seo. I don`t really recommend it to anybody because you`ll get less visitors. Correct me if I`m wrong.
Ay man, I'm with you on that one. Simple HTML is amazing for SEO. Flash is not. Flash is barely getting indexed by search engines, but HTML sure does. HTML/CSS is the best when it comes to SEO.
Users hate coming across a PDF file while browsing, because it breaks their flow. Even simple things like printing or saving documents are difficult because standard browser commands don't work. Layouts are often optimized for a sheet of paper, which rarely matches the size of the user's browser window. worst of all, PDF is an undifferentiated blob of content that's hard to navigate. PDF is great for printing and for distributing manuals and other big documents that need to be printed. Reserve it for this purpose and convert any information that needs to be browsed or read on the screen into real web pages.
Some people tend to build flash-based websites because it's 'inviting', 'cool' and 'colorful', apparently. All I can say to them is "Good luck with your project".
There is surely too much flash out there and there are too many 100% sites. However, there are some nice uses for flash like presentations, games, music players, animated images, etc.
