why dont my DNS update?

    hello.

    over 48 hours ago updated my nameservers at my registrar and it still ahve NOT update, why is it taking so long?

    well it really depends on your register and on what you want to do. if you're trying to change name server for a blog than you just have to redirect your URL. else, if you've got 1and1... they are slowest registrar.

    im trying to change the ip for ns1 & ns2.mydomain.com. my registrar has automatic update but they said it can take upto 48hours for it to change, and im up to 3 day's now, and they said they cant do anyting.

    yes, it can even take 72 hours, and sometimes it will propagate but not everywhere, which has nothing to do with your registrar

    try doing a whois on your domain name to see if that data comes up correct

    I have had a domain that 48 hours later it wasn't propagated from my ISP, but my neighbor could reach it no problem within 24 hours

    You need to wait. Once I had to wait a week before the ns have changed. Or contact you register and hoster to find out what the problem is.

    Though they will tell you to wait. :)

    Did you try flushing your DNS?
