I built a website using the free Weebly, and went on my Yahoo Answers account and answered a bunch of questions and I posted links back to my website. I also submitted an article to about 6 article directories, with a link back to my website. Only one got indexed into Google and that was about a week after I submitted the articles, and as far as I know, none of them were considered backlinks in the eyes of Google. Thought these would be backlinks, but.... However, when I use a tool such as Long Tail Pro or Open Site Explorer, it only says I have one backlink, no internal links, and no link juice. Yahoo Answers is an authoritive website, so what am I missing? My website has Blog page, home page, and related pages which contains a link to my YouTube account. Are these considered internal links in of themselves? Considering that I am linking to my own sites and not other people, does my links count as backlinks, or is it required for someone else to link to you in order for it to be considered a backlink? Here is my site, in case you wanted to know:
you need to do everything on google not yahoo. I cannot see your web address on here can you advise and i will have a quick look for you.
Open Site Explorer used to only update about once a month, how long a go has it been? Also are your Yahoo answers still live? They may have been deleted if they class it as spammed.
Hello Scott, I have not find your website yet. Did you post your website in Google+ or blog sites? You can try it.
