so i come across clone sites everyday. i find ppl's post here being scraped and displayed on the first page of google results, pastered with google adsense.

do these guys make lot of money and get away with it unscratched? can google not catch them each time ?

Google bans them, but there's nothing easier that to start over again. Until they get banned, they earn lot of $$$, so it's probably worth it to start a new domain with the same stuff after banned.

You can't ban purely because of duplicate content. There are plenty of legitimate reasons for content to be duplicated across other sites. Think about how much aggregation and syndication goes on. If you want to fight it make it a copyright issue.

I do hate clone sites, especially if they are taking traffic away from the original site that has done all of the hard work. And yes it is very hard to "ban" someone from google, even for clone sites.

You can report to google and might be able to get their sites deindexed. Cloned sites won't necessarily bet banned by AdSense but sites scraping large chunks of copyrighted material can be banned in AdSense by DMCA infringement.

Banning always has to be done manually; keyword competitors usually report them.

Cloned sites are really just duplicate content so Google can't automate the banning process with their algo. There are many instances where duplicate content is justified.

    Google is just busy LOL

Seriously, Google is very strict when it comes to rules and policies. We'll wait for these sites to get banned :cool:

Google will eventually ban them, but meanwhile the ads are being clicked, so Google isn't really that interested in finding a ultra effective counter measure

You can send a email to google spam center to ban them. But it is too slow, you can send mail ( delete the clone sites) to these guys .
If they dont , send a email to their web host to close their webs .

They wont banned at all from adsense or any other revenue program, but they will banned from google search definitely. but my point is there is no reason for getting banned form adsense
