2 months ago I applied with an Image Hosting service... Got rejected. A while ago I resigned up with a file hosting site, not answer (I think they are ignoring me) Anyway any hints on how to get accepted to YPN, what type of sites it likes more (so I can start it). Also when I sign up I choose "currently using 3rd party ads" is that bad? Peace,
Its definately not a bad thing if your currently using third party ads. That just lets them know if you are using YPN as your first source of income for the site or if your switching from another program. As for not liking image/file hosting sites, its not that they don't like them its that they do not add value to the publisher network. It has no original content, and the traffic it does get doesent allow for accurate contextual targeting. I'd recommend CPM programs for image/file hosting sites.
These sites can get you banned fast......... Look at it this way, Can you monitor and remove every file or image as soon as they are posted ? If not, what stops someone from storing a porn image on the site, if it can be downloaded or viewed by others, that is against YPN tos..... The same thing with any hacking tool, etc
original content sites with a lot of traffic. Article sites that have original content, especially in niche markets not general markets. So if you had a site that specializes in toothpaste that would be an awsome site.
