Why doesn't this RewriteRule work?

RewriteRule ^view/(.*)/(.*) /view.php?cat=$1&pid=$2


This is supposed to change like

www.somesite.com/view/randomstuff/94 to
www.somesite.com/view.php?cat=randomstuff&pid=94

right?

Is there something wrong with this line of code? Doesn't work on my godaddy hosting for some reason. Is there something wrong with godaddy shared hosting?
