They are thousands of alternative companies, but the side of the AdSense that most of the people think is it's downside, is actually the one that makes it the strongest - justise and honesty to both advertisers and publishers. They are also backed by the largest search engine with huge budget and programmers, constantly improving the service. How can you expect that anoter small company can come up with a system as good as AdSense near in the future?
The Big Boys Win! It's that simple. How? Because they hire the top notch engineers and programmers and pay them many times as the little boys are. So $$$ is power.
After buying Yahoo, maybe Microsoft will concern more about it and if they pay higher than adsense, they will succeed. Let's wait and see!
