Why doesn't google Index my pages?

Hello, I have had my site up for about a year now - every page passes xHTML validation, and I'm using the Apache ModRewrite to emulate folders vs. querystrings.

    Golf Scramble Search

Currently Google has 61 pages indexed of my 50,000 pages. I have google sitemaps created (and has been up for about 4 months) - No errors.

I also have lots of links into my site, and I do as much traffic trading to Golf-Related sites as possible.

I made the site extremely SE Friendly but it won't index all my pages :( Am I doing something wrong here? I thought I developed it in a correct SE Friendly fashion but I guess Google doesn't think so...

    Please help,
    Thanks guys!

Hmm. Im not an expert but it looks like you're having a problem similar to me. I think it has something to do with all your supplemental results. You probably dont enough unique content, meta tags, etc on each page. Im not totally sure how to get out of the supplemental results aside from getting more unique content for each page. Maybe someone who has beaten the supplemental results problem can shed some light?

i think information quality of your site is not enough, what i mean is "Stanwood Iowa in Cedar county."

you just tell about zip code etc. for every city, and not only to homepage you should try to get links your inside content

    Hi ccoonen

This is the million dollar question of mine also. Why Google doesn't index my pages? I posted the very same question on this and other forums as well and got answers like Doctype is missing or errors in the codes. But I see you have the Doctype and as you said you validated your Htlm code. And besides, I checked my leading competitor's websites for errors and none of them passed the validation. Nevertheless, all of their pages are indexed and rank well in Google. In my determination I think we should get quality inbound links to both the home and the inside pages as well. I think that would help getting indexed. I am planning to buy some quality links on ebay for at least a year or so.

By the way your site looks nice. How much time did it take to create 50 thousand pages?
I have only 3000 but it took me more than a year to make ‘em.

from the look of your site I would agree with jobber.

google has indexed 61 pages but thinks 51 are all copies of each other because you havent made full use of meta tags and provided enough unique textual content per page.

you need to improve title + description tags and try and think of a way of adding some conent on more pages.

i havent had a close look at your site but It seems alot of the pages are directory/listing type pages with lots of repeated text/menus.

take a look at pages 2-7 on this search:
your 61 pages are classed as duplicate content by google

in the example of the ht1printer-supply.com/ website, alot of your URLs don't look SEO friendly to me

Thanks! They are all dynamically created pages (theirs actually only like 8 pages on the site) but all content-pages are driven from the database.

Maybe the keyword you are writing, has a long sandbox effect, or it is very competitive.

Thanks for your responses guys! I will try to mix up the content on all the pages so they don't seem like all the same content.

That's a bit harsh ("bs") and ambiguous all in one, but no need to elaborate if you're only looking for some self-promo posting I guess

Suggestion #1: Throw away your sitemaps. They suck big time, and they do nothing good other than make the google to deindex your page.

    Suggestion #2: Wait and pray.

Why ridicule me? I wasn't promoting my damn site for that reason; I just wanted a link... just like you guys have in your damn signatures; Don't talk to me about promoting shit. :)

Bye. :) [there, now you can talk about my repetition of smileys instead of bull "poo poo"]

I was away and missed this discussion completely. I am really curious what was done to the site in question to get it idexed from 61 to over 100000 (currently) pages in less than a month? I understand it is a year old, dynamically generated site that is very carefully crafted as of the time of this writing, but I guess it was different when you started this thread. I saw your other post about being indexed to 22000 on the 17th I think, but wha I am intrested in is what was done to the site between August 14th and today? A basic list of changes you did would be great. Thanks.

Essentially - to fix my issue, i got as many links-in as I possibly could (with more niche-related content sites that is)

I would advise doing the same amigos :)
