Why Doesn't Directory Have Sub Category : Cricket ?

I checked many directories and found that there is no sub category of Cricket in Sports category.

I am Building a Cricket Site and was just wondering how would i submit my site to the directories

I think there is importance to Cricket in the normal world then why don't the Webmaster world show any intrest in it
There are many cricket sites made by many people but they are not being submitted because of no sub category

so please look after it and post comments

The best advice I can offer is contact the owner of a directory and tell them that you would like to add your cricket directory to their website but was disappointed to find that there was not cricket subcategory in sports.

I think most owners would gladly add it.

Most directories allow you suggest a category. Ours does! Link in signature.

 

i was telling about directories shown in this forum and the owners would be checking this thread and they could gladly add the sub category

when cricket is a niche within sports it prolly wont the first thought a directory owner thinks of when building categories

But yea, as others have stated. Suggest it when you sign up your page on directories. I for one listen to the suggestions and make new categories almost daily.

Three reasons:
(1) When I created my Sports categories I didn't immediately think CRICKET.
(2) I have yet to have anyone submit a site about Cricket.
(3) I have yet to have anyone contact me about adding a Cricket category.

I promise you, if you use the contact information provided on most directories and ask for a cagegory to be added, it will be done.

 

I wont worry about that for now. working on many things.

Like Munt, I don't create categories until there are sites to go in them. If someone submitted a cricket site to Sports, I would certainly be able to put it in a cricket category, no problem.

I must admit I hardly ever have the patience to suggest new categories when I submit sites. If I can't find a good sub-category, the one above usually does fine. But creating a new category shouldn't take more than a few seconds to create for most directories.

Don't let the lack of a suitable category put you off, so long as you take some time to find the most suitable place for your site.

 

I think many directory owners create new subcategories when they see people submit sites to categories that are not a good match, and when an approate subcategory does not exist. I have probably added 25 new categories in the past two weeks to create a better fit for site submissions.
