Hi there, I wonder why Yahoo indexed my site so badly

    Yahoo : 175
    MSN : 323
    Google : 8,900

    Yahoo : 123
    MSN : 425
    Google : 17,500

    today

    Yahoo : 77
    MSN : 449
    Google : 34,300

 Why does Yahoo hate my site? I did Yahoo sitemap (urllist.txt) but nothing proved. I saw my competitor that launched site same time as mine but they have been indexed by Yahoo (also MSN) a lot better than mine.

    My competitor
    Yahoo : 145
    MSN : 780
    Google : 140

I also see Yahoo does indexed my competitor backlinks better than mine

    Mine
    Yahoo : 385
    MSN : 2,059
    Google :37

    My competitor
    Yahoo : 3,370
    MSN : 3,416
    Google :60

My competitor is a new site like mine, why Yahoo give their good backlinks like MSN but mine doesn't? If I have BL in MSN for 2,059 I should have in Yahoo for 2,xxx isn't it? Please give me your suggestion.

    Regards,
    Sxperm

To get more of your pages indexed in YaHoo i'd always reccomend getting links pointing to intrernal pages of your site from other sites. For some reason this has always helped for us to get entire sites indexed by Yahoo.

As for backlinks - don't threat over who has got more and so on ... just continue getting them from related sites to your own and you'll soon find your count growing.

Remember a site with a few backlinks can rank higher than a site with thousands. Think quality as well as quantity

I wonder how their partnership with altavista effects our listings.

MSN shows over 2k backlinks and your site is a couple of months old.

I wonder if a filter has been tripped on yahoo where to many backlinks to quickly has affected it.

What technique did you use to get so many links? Did you join a webring? Did you join a link exchange program? Are those reciprocal links or one way links?

Try adding more on page relevant copy - your home page is very thin in regards to content - but dont keyword stuff!

Thank you but I don't think so because my competitor launch site same time as mine. They have 3k+ for backlinks and all backlinks shown in both MSN and Yahoo also their pages get indexed very well on Yahoo (at least better than mine)

I didn't use any webrings, link exchange program (I joined but never exchanged with them coz their links are not relevant to my site.) Most of them are one-way link. Only thing I did it submitted to free directory manually myself. It look so many but there is no weighted, no themed relevant and most of them are filtered by site age (like Google sandbox) so their are no much value for Google to count (try link:www.estateround.com on Google and you'll see)

Thank you :D I know that is important key but my site is directory so I don't know how to added it properly. Actually, I've made my content but not place in the first page coz its long. I just place the link point to them instead. (ex. The Benefits of Real Estate Directory for webmaster) Should I move it to the first page?

    cheers,

Have you examined their link structure...are their links mostly from directory sites or are they from authority sites...are their links to just the homepage or to deep pages...
