Why does the Adsense only show on the second page?

    I have a problem on my index page the Adsense REF do not show but on the next page they show

    I see no ads on the index page, but ads on the second page.

    I am in the UK

    Maybe adsense wont serve on that page 'cause it doesn't like the content?
