Having a few people email me saying they cannot use their credit card to purchase from my site, it is not that often but enough to lose me sales. Is there any reason why paypal may reject a credit card as the peerson paying assures me that the card they are using should be fine. Thanks
there are a few reasons why a card can be declined. 1.the card has been used numerous times through paypal and they have not registered an account.Paypal will allow you to perform up to about 10 transactions in a given period(i am not sure how long) before they ask you to register for an account. 2.they are using a card which can not be verified by paypal before taking payment. Many pre-paid credit cards cannot be used on paypal because they are unverifiable. 3.they did not have enough funds in their card or have spent their credit allowance. Many merchants experience these same problems everyday but it is important not to ignore them especially if you are getting lots of similar responses from your customers
I have been having the same problem but i am thankful i am part of this forum. the post really cleared a lot of stuff for me. Awesome stuff. cheers.
Cheers for that, v.hepful, but there is little or nothing I can do to improve things, apart from passing on the answer above so they can try and resolve it.
