Why does Pagerank of most sites appear "forged?"

If you use Checkpagerank.net you will find that 90-95% of domains have a forged Page Rank, at least according to the tool...

Is it true? What is their definition of a forged Page Rank?

 

I just checked out CheckPageRank.net and everything seems to be working fine for me. I never received a single 'forged' message. Also, you might just be better off installing the Google toolbar if you're interested in finding out a website's PageRank.

 

I highly doubt that so many webmasters are so adept online that 90% forge PR. Sounds like a flawed tool to me.

 

It depends ... The sites use a common tool to find out whether a Page Rank is valid or False

They match the Info:sitename data with the url and when it does not match they say its a Fake Pagerank Domain .

Well I checked many of my domains and most of them were legit but some of others domains like
google.in was Fake, Wikipedia.com is fake does this mean that they are really fake Domain No they are forwarded to a High Pagerank Sites of their Owners

 

The tools are on the main in-accurate which figures as the rating system is flawed and in-accurate too

 

I use the PageRank Checker on www.iwebtool.com

 

Had a check on several sites, and all appear to be valid. Maybe it was a glitch in the systeM ?? Or maybe all the URLs you entered did have fake PR ??

Guys, if you don't believe me , check out most of the sites in Article Dashboard or Ezine Articles that are advertised through the articles.

You'll have a tough time finding sites with "valid pagerank."

At least according to that tool...

Even EzineArticles.com appears forged.

Also you can check out a lot of directories urls...mostly "forged," as per CheckPageRank.net

www.digpagerank.com is the best in my opinion

 

Those tools are never right anyway, though I do like to use http://www.checkmypagerank.us sometimes - it is my favorite.

 

Can you check this one out?? The site is mine and I receive comments that its pagerank is forged... Can you tell me how to check whether pagerank is forge or not??

 

Double check with Alexa or Compete, then you'll see if the traffic amount is consistent with the PR.
