The PageRank is different for the same webpage, when I checked on two different computers. One computer is showing X pagerank while another computer is showing Y pagerank for the same webpage. There is no way that the data base is retrieving from two different Google datacenters, because, I am operating this in my office. But we have different internet providers. Is that a reason, Please help me out from this.
It must be due to different Google data centers. Try checking PR on any site which checks PR on several data centers. For example www. iwebtool .com/pagerank_checker or www. pageranktool .net. Try this from both PCs and you should see the same results.
Thanks Mr. Smoketoomuch, How come it is possible, within the same office and that too same network provider, but showing different pageranks on different computers for the same webpage.
I don't really know, it can be for many reasons. You said in your first post that you have 2 providers, so maybe your two computers are going to Internet through different providers and that you even don't know that. It can be that you are using different proxies, domain name servers and who knows what else. Try pinging toolbarqueries.google.com, maybe you will see different IPs from different PCs. Anyway, the point is it is not so unusual.
Is there any other reason for showing different pagerank for the same weppage, other than data is retrieving from two different data centers.
Yes all the data centers wont get updated at the same time, some gets updated in a slower rate while the page rank data is retrieved from updated Data Centers.
