Why does my website traffic reduces and my sales drops whenever i modify design

    Hi Everyone!

    This is critical question to me and i would really appreciate your reply.

    Why does my website traffic reduces and my sales drops whenever i modify design of my website on MY LOCAL COMPUTER ? and how can i avoid this ?

    I don't think it has to do with your website design. Is your site a blog or a static website?

    Have you looked at your traffic sources in analytics? What is that telling you?

    Redesign your website but keep link navigation same as the old website. If you are using different url names then it is consider as a new page & you have to work again for the new pages to rank them on the search engines...

    check your page load time, are you using flash more, if your are using flash and image exceed the limit by which load time goes high.

    When ever you do modification in site, the site will take some time to index in Google so in that mean time site traffic may be dropped..and some times your keyword rankings also dropped.it happens with every site.. so reduce design modification frequency..

    People like consistency. They do not like changes, re-design or modification of any type. This gives an impression that the company is unstable and insecure. I would not want to business with such a company. Look at amazon and ebay. Same design for almost a decade and their business is prospering

    Correct We don't do frequent modifications... we only do modifications on our local laptops. We do online modifications once in 2-3 years, but in our local laptops we do modifications for every 2-3 weeks unless we finalize a good template and good landing page this usually takes 4-7 months to finalize.
