Why does my site have 3rd position in Google but no traffic?

Look for a keyword that have more than a million searches per day.

 

For a blog keywords is everything! It is stupid not to think about keyword phrases while writing.

400 searches with no traffic. Which keyword analyzer did you use?
Try wordtracker. How much competing pages are you facing?

 

For what it's worth I agree with blogging more often and getting more backlinks from other sites in your category if you can. Obviously you're not expecting to get much traffic anyway if you optimized for something with so few searches, so even intelligent comments on same subject blogs with no-follow tags will bring traffic and if you can hold their attention they'll send more.
