Ok, I don't get something. I get that a bid system is used and that if I put $0.10 for my max bid, it won't always be $0.10. But I don't understand why under the Max CPC column it almost always says "auto: $0.01". To me, that says that my *MAX* will always be $0.01. Only very rarely, when I change and change and change my Max Bid, will it suddenly jump to, say, "auto: $0.07" (or whatever I set it to). But otherwise it's always stuck at $0.01. Erg?
Hi Big Brother. Think you might the have automatic bidding setup. The following is from Adwords help menu: How does automatic bidding work? Automatic bidding is the simplest of the AdWords bidding options. You just set a targeted 30-day budget and the AdWords system actively seeks out the most clicks possible within that budget. With automatic bidding, you don't need to specify individual bids for ad groups, keywords or placements. The AdWords system automatically adjusts your maximum cost-per-click (CPC) bids on your behalf. Hope this helps
If you have the automatic bidding be very careful... It's a simple choice and won't give you max results. You must focus on conversions and not clicks Also make sure you didn't make any typing mistake :-D
Can someone give me a breakdown of auto vs. manual? In my case, all ads lead to the same place (I'm selling a single iPhone app), so I wouldn't be tweaking it per keyword or ad. Which should I use???
