Well so my laptop started to turn off like crazy lately. When I turn it on it turns off within 1 minute, I flip over the laptop, and its not hot at all. So I formated my hard drive and now the laptop turns off in the middle of XP setup. Sometimes I get far in the setup and sometimes it turns off right away. What could be wrong? I have an Acer Aspire 3610 laptop. Is it time I get a new one?
Can't be a virus because I already formatted the whole hard drive but still does it. Short cuircuit? I ran it with the battery out but still had the same problem.
I suggest you to contact your supplier or authorize service center for Acer nearer to you as they give you perfect answer for this. If its too old then its time to get new one DON.
could be a motherboard fault... my acer travelmate 270e gave up the ghost last month... i was on MSN and then *poof* blank went the screen, tested everything, just using mains (no battery) etc, and it wouldn't turn on, so i took it to pieces, and got a IDE dock for the hard drive. Are you still in warranty? if not, then it'd be easier to get a new laptop.
Same problem that I had 1 and half years ago. Its not the battery problem. The problem is in the motherboard. The power section has become faulty and very soon the BIOS will be going wrong, and then the display chips, like I had. If you are still in warranty, go get in touch with the dealer. Oh and yes, the formatting wont help my friend, so dont keep doing that. Thanks.
it can be due to power settings or overheating due to fan problem Check the fan of laptop ,is it working? Second porblem can be Power properties adjust them Regards Alex
On another thread, his laptop keeps restarting, this one keeps turning off. I suggest you guys get a Macbook or MSI so you won't have problems with overheating motherboards. If it's not an overheating problem, then maybe it's time to change your antivirus. Bitdefender is a good one.
Yeah honestly Acer is the worst company ever. I contacted their customer service 10+ times but they always give me a number and when I call they give me another number... that has happened about 10 times now. Their support website is just like a website you would see in the 1990s.
bro, it's the fan system in the thing try elevating it on all corners and keeping the power cord stress free of pressure, there may be dust accumulated in the thing...I don't know that's my past experience with my laptops.
