Why does my internet stops exactly @ 10.00pm???

A recent finding shows that my internet gets disconnected exactly when the clock strikes 10 at the night.
It automatically gets reconnected once this happens.

Is there a GHOST in my PC???

Maybe your ISP''s server reboots at that time

    Too much watching tv?

Or maybe it is scheduled maintenance from your isp.

Ghost in your PC? Definitely, yes.

He keeps your internet running throughout the day, but takes a pee-break at 10.00 PM. Once he's back, the internet is on..

    --

On another note, it's just a schedule server reboot to offload the cache and debris built up throughout the day. Nothing to worry.

P.S - I love the way you started your statement - "A recent finding shows that..." - Priceless :)

May be yes its done by Ghosts.
And 10PM is the time when he wakes up from his sleep and thats why your net disconnects and connects again. :D

Yes it must be the server rebooting time... but to verify it you can check it by changing your system time by ten or one hour fast or slow and then check.. because some virus programs might have programmed to function at some specific time

    Thanks for all your responses.
Seems like server reboot from ISP.
Actually they do have a night plan which starts from 10pm onwards. It didnt use to happen earlier but only for the past 10 to 15 days. I am yet to call and confirm from my ISP just to rule out any possibilities of viral program as suggested by the other member....
