EDIT: Seems all I had to do was enter the extension of my file into the MIME types in my hosting configuration. I need HELP badly here, I use a html file with a http-equiv="REFRESH" command to cloak my affiliate links, it has been working for years, but now it just displays the command text in the browser. It works on my harddrive, but not on the internet. What is going on, why doesnt it work anymore?
I don't know. But you can set this up again easily using a free tool called profit protector. Simply add your affiliate link, it auto makes an html page (name of your choice) and you just upload that to your site. EDIT: you may have to rename the extension on the file as it makes them as .HTML and if your links say .html it will not work as for some reason its case sesitive (whereas usually in linux servers case doesnt mean much) Anyway, thats a geek issue. Just so as you know
if you find any answers please let me know..tried changing my redirect to .htm but still didn't work..tried in 3 different search engines..same problem..i also had this working for a long time..and suddenly no longer..s.o.s. to any computer geniuses out there..p.s. i used acloaker.com to generate my file..its easy , web based and free...worked for years until today...
