I am really confused I am getting about 150 links from msn total this month and I get about 30 from google. I haven't really worked on any seo yet. Planning on trying to work on that soon though. I just figured that with google being really popular I would have more links from them. Maybe it has something to do with the bots. Google is first, yahoo is second and msn is 3rd. But msn uses almost 3x the bandwidth. I don't really know.
Sites most often generates more links from MSN and yahoo than google. I also get much more links from MSN than from Google. I even have a blog which ranked top in MSN for the Keyword "Best SEO Tips", but not yet indexed in Google
150 links from msn ,traffic ? (for live.com cannot check the backlinks now.)seems you get a nice ranking in msn, well done.
I didn't know that but that could be the reason. I also started checking the last 300 visitors more often and sometimes they get to my site by some really random things lol.
Maybe Bill Gates thinks you hot :O , its weird, like my site does really well in google and yahoo but awfull in MSN, and i know other peaple who's sites do really good MSN and not in yahoo or google, weird.. I suppose its the way we built/maintain and market our sites.
My site too have a very good ranking in MSN for a variety of keywords. Unfortnately, the traffic they send is very less []
MSN is a love em and leave em type of guy. first he sweet talks your site until you are sure he's gonna marry you. Then he dumps you for some skanky ho.
From what I've saw, if you have a newer website, MSN will love it. I've set up tiny little new websites that had no backlinks whatsoever and I got to the top of the MSN rankings for that keyword in a day or so. I tried submitting a site that I've had for a while and it won't index on MSN. Weird.
That could be it, my site is going on 3 months old now. So far this month has been a huge spike in traffic.
for obvious reasons people focus on optimization for Google, so Yahoo and MSN go unforgotten. While the budget hungry people of corporations are paying lots for SEO, it allows the low budget site to sneak in from behind with Yahoo and MSN - i certainly know I've got some extremely competitive keywords with both engines that corporations sitll only dream of on Google.
Google is harder on measuring the quality of links pointing to your site, than MSN, who're more or less counting them all.
