Hi people, When i check backlinks for my site using links:mysitename.com in google i get 3000+ results. But when i use link:mysitename.com i get just 1 Whats the difference between link and links ?
For the query link:domain.com, "link:" is a Google operator that is used to show the Backlinks of the domain that Google considers... while looking for links:domain.com, it will be treated as a general keyword...
Hey Manish, If links: domain.com treats it as a general keyword, then shouldnt it display same number of results as displayed on searching for the domain name, i.e searching for domain.com ?
You didn't get me..what I meant to say is when you search for link:domain.com, Google shows you backlinks because "link:" is an Google operator(http://www.google.com/help/operators.html) and Google make some computations on the basis of operator and domain. But when you search links:domain.com, Google considers it as a normal keyword and provide you the results accordingly...
