Yea, they're just as crazy as their neighbors. That's funny.

Who says Israel does have nukes?

Here's something to ponder though. Let's suppose that they do, for the sake of argument, since it's really just an assumption. If they really do have them, then they have more than proven over time they can have them responsibly. For one tiny little country that is the subject of Jewish hatred, constant threats and constant attacks by those whose religious ideology calls for their deaths, no country in the world has shown more restraint in using a weapon that they may, or may not have, than Israel.

I can name the last time this year Iran threated to wipe out Israel. I can't remember the last time I've heard the same from Israel.

I think Gtech hit the nail on the head with the word "responsible"...that can not be said of rogue countries such as N. Korea, Iran, Syria, etc.

    alethedies:

In this case, your "little brother" appears to possess nuclear weapons. You might take him more seriously now.

But, along the lines of what GTech pointed out, no matter how many times Israel's "neighbors" have tried to destroy it militarily, it has not tried to destroy them.

Israel is a heck of a lot nicer than I would be, if I were in their shoes.

Thats funny you bring that up Will.

Just last night I was watching a documentary on the conflict and they had a quick report on some militant Jews.

They filled a trailer with 5 barrels of propane and pounds of screws for good measure then parked it in front of an Arab school for girls. They set the denonator for 7:30 Am, exactly when the kids would be arriving for school.

I thought it was pretty clever. ;)

Militant Jews killing innocents is hardly the equivalent of the governments of Israel's neighbors trying to kill Israel as a country.

Which war was it? The Six Day or the Yom Kippur when Israel's airforce began to make aerial manuevers suggesting the to the world's military at large they were about to unleash an atomic weapon. Whether they had it then or not, they stopped the Arab advance in their tracks just long enough to regroup and begin their tactical response for THEIR VERY SURVIVAL.

Like Gtech says, it's about responsibility.

Hey, has anyone YET truly unearthed what happened in Syria a few weeks ago?

The political importance of the 6 day war: Israel demonstrated that it was not only able, but also willing to initiate strategic strikes that could change the regional balance. Israels territory grew 3x as it took over the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, the West Bank of the Jordan River (including East Jerusalem), and the Golan Heights.

Damn, we don't get Hamas TV here. I've got to get an FTA receiver set up. :(

I want to see the Mickey Mouse rip-off where the mouse teaches children to become suicide bombers. :)

Funny, but try again with a serious answer as to why Israel should not strategically strike their enemies airfields etc, at a time there enemies were trying to bomb them from the air etc.

The defended their lives and their children because God told them so?

If God had not specifically told them so, do you believe they would have stood by idly while they and their children were slaughtered like animals?

Hmmmm... that just doesn't make sense to me.

You have some interesting ideas about Jews. Please tell us more about this Judaism, where the followers get orders directly from God.

What are you kidding Will? God promised the land to Abraham and his descendants. According to the Bible, particularly in Genesis, the Land of Israel was promised as an everlasting possession to the descendants of the Jewish patriarchs Abraham.

And Toopac, I make love not war. But when God goes around promising land where people already live, it makes for a pretty sticky situation, doesn´t it? I mean, they get to claim those territories as a "religious right". When was the last time someone came to your door and said, "Hey, you´ve got a day to get out of your house...God promised me this land your house is standing on." Never, you lucky dog you.

Jerusalem could be the most beautiful place in the entire world, but we are all robbed of it because of this junk.

By the way, that story I told above, when the militants were asked why they did it, they said "Because Gold told me to do it...It was like he pulled me up by the ears." Yes, God told him to bomb an Arab school for girls.
