Why does google revert to my old meta desc. and title in SERPs

I have noticed this happen twice now. If you go to http://bravewhale.com and view my source to see the title and meta description for the homepage, then search "bravewhale" in google you will see it doesn't match. It instead shows my old meta desc. and title info, even though the cache date on my homepage is from today, Oct. 3rd.

Yesterday when I checked google, the title and desc. were correct in showing my current data, but today when I check it shows the old desc and title again. How can this be happening on a recently cached page when the source code doesn't even show this data anymore? Thanks.

The SERPs is updating, it's quite unstable, don't worry.

I have seen that as well particularly in weeks after a change of title or metadescription but it seems to sort itself out!

Ah ha that makes sense. I hope it doesn't cause any problems for keywords I'm targeting.

it take some time to update the SERPs (the time depend on your page rank)

It was crawled yesterday, and is not showing the correct meta desc, and title. It may revert again though, because it has done that twice before.
