While doing guest post the post remains on the homepage for a very small time.So is it worth the effort.
It's still a new link from a source where a link wasn't occurring previously. Has some value, even if it falls from the front page.
Blog commenting is only SEO to folks who don't know what they are doing for the very reason you state. While I am sure you can drum up a few good ones they don't typically last long. It is also largely a form of spam. hope that helps, Nigel
Alot of times you can find an interior blogpost that already has PR that is very relevent to the page you want to promote, and that doesn't use nofollow tags. For these pages, it doens't need to be on the homepage at all. Each page is assigned PR individually, not the entire site. These pages are very worth the effort to comment on. Backlinks like these are becoming harder to find these day, but should probably be the backbone of your link building campaign. Just because the interior page doens't have as much PR as the homepage, doesn't mean it's not worthwhile. And if you can provide value to the discussion with your comment, then the blog owner will likely publish your comment and allow your backlink to stand. I recommend post no shorter than 2 paragraphs in your comment, nad make sure you are adding good value to the discussion. Just saying that their blog or article is great isn't going to cut it. Ask thoughtful questions, or provide new insight that the author might have overlooked. if your comment comes across as spammy, it's likely not to stay there for long.
I think Blog commenting is some how effective but for short period of time, When other people comments on same page then your link hide on previous page and you will loose your position. Thanks for list
I think you're confused between a blogpost and a blog comment. Blog comments always stay on the same page. And it works exactly the opposite. You probably won't get much traffic from it, but you will gain a valuable backlink, assuming the blog doesn't use no follow. Long term, it is worthwhile, as it provides SEO benifits. Short term, it does virtually nothing.
You are right. It's more into type of spamming. I think better to comment in non do-follow blog links to get traffic naturally.
It depends on your comment. If you are just there to add you link, and you're comment is something like, "great blog. Try this site www.myspamsite.com", then yes, it's just a spam comment, likely to be deleted, and not really worth your time. However, the the blog you are commenting on is related to your own site (which is should be if you are considering commenting in it) then you should be knowledgeable enough about the subject to able to add some value to the discussion. Ask a thoughtful question, make an insightful point. Ask for further elaboration about a specific paragraph. Make a real contribution to the blogpost, and the author is likely to allow your link to remain. In this you get both natural traffic, and a valuable backlink.
1. Guest posts are MUCH better than submitting articles to article directory, you get better visibility. 2. Some of my guest posts on popular blogs still send me traffic. 3. You can also become an integral part of the 'host' blog community by responding to comments on the guest post.
