Why does dp close the thread having many posts?

    I posted few days back on introduction forum. About 10 people replied, and mods closed the thread. Moreover, those thread which get about 10 threads keep gettin closed. Can someone explain why?

    We do not want members to keep post padding especially in the Introduction threads where you can find members with 50 posts all saying "welcome to dp"......
