Why does CJ deactivate account after 6 months ?

    I read that info somewhere.

    That's silly no ? Why do they care about someone being inactive if he can be active after 6 months ?

    Probably a normal cleanup process. Normal to them.

    Cleans up the interface for merchants. Also, smaller merchants usually have to pay CJ for every email they send out (to joined or not joined publishers), which would get pretty expensive if they didn't clear out accounts that didn't make money. I've worked on the merchant end for advertisers in Linkshare and CJ, and Linkshare's policy of never deactivating accounts (I have an account that's been inactive since 2000) really makes it hard to recruit affiliates or keep to a budget in mailing.
