When I'm in my admin I can see the usernames and they're multiplied with certain users. When I go to the home page it even looks like about 20 extra people are veiwing sections. Why is that? I got a green rep for the answer!
What application is this based on? How are visitors tracked, cookies or IP? If it's IP, I'd say they don't accept cookies therefore your counter is logging every hit and not distinguishing between one visitor and another, so it's logging all.
Could be one user multiple open windows or your stats program isn't real time. As above, how are stats being tracked, cookies, javascript/invisible gif or ip. phplife
