Why does 1&1 work like this?

    Hello,

Not sure if this is the correct section, however I beileve this is the closest.

Anyway, I registered a domain in June 2008, and I didnt renew it this year, however I want it renewed now and they are charging me $18 late fee, plus $8.99 for the renewal, but when I have to setup a payment agreement with them, it fails.

I don't have money in my paypal, but I do have money on my bank card, why does it only attempt to take the money from my paypal balance and not my card that is linked to my paypal?

You could talk to them over the phone.
They charge me by card all the time.

The thing is that the account was registered by a friend who lives in the USA, and he simply gave it to me ages ago, and I live in the UK.

And what you mean they charge you all the time?

Dan, 1and1 charges my registered credit card for renewals and such. Go to your account and update your payment method to the credit card you want to use and you should be fine.
