I think if the OP really believed what he was saying he wouldn't have posted anything at all. What is the point of having this conversation or changing anyone's our mind? You're going to die anyway.

 

I'm pretty sure it's the standard attack on Atheists in which the OP somehow decides that if you aren't a Muslim your life is pointless. Yet another reason why although I dislike all religions, I hate the Muslims the most. No one else has made a huge effort to try and make me feel my life is pointless. (Frankly, it isn't anyway - you die after 80 odd years - you have that time to have fun, love, experience things.)

Maybe if the OP thinks life is so pointless he should contemplate calling a suicide helpline

 

So you didn't tell me what's the point of having fun when time will pass and good time becomes past ? you know past is dead and future is death so no way to hide the truth .

@elberengy - First up, do you believe you're going to die? In your original post you said that death was the truth people were hiding from. Are you hiding from it? Because I'm not, and I'm relatively sure none of the other Atheists here are either.

If you believe that you shouldn't do anything at all in life that is worthwhile, enjoyable, productive, etc - then are you in fact suicidal? Or do you just think it best to sit on your ass for 80 odd years and do nothing?

Even having fun, you can't do it constantly while you're alive - everything ends and changes, but you make the most of your time. That's life.

I'm sorry you are so dissatisfied with your own life that you fail to see the point in joy or achievement.

As to the point MY life - well, lol, there's more than one. I'll answer you when you answer me and Budster ^-^;

Also, as it will likely effect how much detail I need to put into my answer, are you a virgin and/or are you in a committed romantic relationship? (I'm not going to tease you for being a virgin, I know you probably are because of your religion, etc etc. It will just effect how I explain things.)

ifyou want to know whats the point of life then i tell you that the world we are in is unreal.the real world is after death.our soul tries to attain moksh.a term which means no mre rebirths and complete satisfaction.thats what your soul wants although you may want more and more money.you may find it boring and stupid to have no rebirths and have nothing to do but this is the truth.

The OP should know better than asking questions, telling people their lives are meaningless, then not responding to questions asked of him.

Typical hiding behind a screen; you try to tell someone their life is pointless when you aren't a thousand miles away and typically, they'll take it as an attack (which it of course IS) and smack you

Answer the question I asked first , I'm 21 BTW .

Our lives are repetitive , same stages we undergo but apparently it might look different .

Stages of life -

Playing as a kid
Learning from your parents and preparing to support a future family.
Searching for that perfect mate.
Having a family and getting into real work.
Teaching your kids and preparing them
Finally death

This is repeated and repeated by children themselves to reach one thing at the End " DEATH " .

You have failed to address the questions people put to you. Here's another one that annihilates your argument for you to ignore.
Eventually this forum will cease to exist. Eventually the words you have written will no longer be on the internet. So why bother posting them? Why, if one day it will gone, do you bother posting? You don't need to believe that your posts are eternal to still want to make them, so why is that?

I can't be certain there isn't, but i'm not willing to waste the only life i know i have in abject servitude hoping that if the after life exists i have done enough grovelling and begging in this one to get another.

Judging by what i experience before i was born id say it's logical to assume that what comes after the cells that make me have stopped functioning is the same as what came before they amassed. Nothing.

You are afraid of death, it's understandable. But have some dignity man. Don't waste the only life you know you have begging an invisible man for another one in the vain hope that he exists and is listening.
