Why do YOU use twitter?

I do and I don't. I have a twitter account to connect to people via my website to them on twitter but I seriously take zero time to tweet all day. If i have a new article it will automatically submit to twitter and Im off on my day.

 

I use it to Promote website or find traffic

 

I use it to communicate with others in my field. I also use it to learn about news and articles pertaining to my field.
For my business I use it to announce news and events.

 

twitter is quick and fast to update. Not much of a hassle easy to use and a limit of 140 characters is pretty simple.

 

I wanted to thank everyone for their answers and also for commenting on our do follow blog with your answers! Also thanks to those of you that have started following us on Twitter, we do not use twitter to often yet, but we do read it a lot.

One thing that will make you a success on twitter is DO NOT tweet ads too much and do not over tweet, also stay on topic.

I really had no interest in twitter,
but im now using it, why?

simple
because my target market is there,
conversations are getting started
there about my target market,
so i just join the conversations
to be in front of them and give some value.

To be honest, I really don't know. I wasn't into twitter until my friends joined. I think this how most social networking sites gain interest; some people start to like it and then everyone follows to be a part of the "in" crowd.

 

Twitter is a great way to develop personal relationships with a large number of people who have an interest or some involvement in your field. It has been a very easy and effective way for me to create awareness of my BackPage Classifieds Promo Codes Blog.

 

To make money.... Simple ...

 

Use it as part of a system that also includes facebook, my blog, articles ... etc etc

 

Has anyone had a twitter contest? How did you do it? I am trying to perfect that and write a tutorial for others to learn a technique that works also...

I can understand more about why should we us Twitter. I actually created an account as the trend, but I rarely use it. I'll spend more time with it

 

I was looking at our twitter page and it has pagerank 4 ... Does anyone else have decent page rank on their twitter page? Is this common?

 

I use Twitter because it`s very powerful marketing tool where you can get thousands of targeted visitors, but I try not to be shown as SPAM
