Why do you use Google Adwords, and are you happy with it?

To those of you who use Adwords regularly, are you happy with its performance?

Why do you use it?

I tried Adwords today and got charged $50 for about 30 clicks. In return the specific page/section of my site I linked to on these Ad Campaigns made about 50 cents, so I got .001 of my money back.

I am assuming that you dont make a lot of money back on this from PPC ads on your site, but you are just using Adwords to generate traffic, and spread the word more on your site correct?

And has it been working, has it helped spread the word on your site? Has traffic increased, and has it stayed high or do you have to keep paying Adwords to keep this higher traffic?

Because I am sure not happy with spending $50 only to get 50 cents of that back from my own ad revenue.

 

you did the wrong thing: use Awords to attact people promote Adsense
if you sell some thing that would be useful

If you have interesting website, means visitors can return again over and over again.In that case adwords can be a really good money making source, since you can get a decent traffic and to have that traffic for a while without doing anything else...

 

That is a good point, and that is what I was trying to do. Get these people who find the site through Adwords to keep coming back and/or spreading the word. The problem is that for me to pay on average $2.00 per click to come to my site is just too much. It jumped up to $50 balance in about 30 mins, so I paused the campaign. I tried lowering my daily budge to $5, and guess what, that got me 2 clicks at $2.50 each.

I suppose I could try to limit the amount per click to maybe $1.00 or less, but I was hoping some people would write success stories of their experience with AdWords, because so far I don't like it.

 

It seems need pay much for it if some people click the adwords

 

I have used and managed my client adwords and I think not a bad investment. Generally it returns 2.5 to 10 times( some clients) of adwrods investment.

Just use proper keywords and perfect landing page. Landing page is key factor of your conversion. Please avoid clickbank products on adwords.

 

Well, you could've spend those $50 better by buying an Adwords course first Study some, learn, you need to be knowledgeble first, adwords is not for newbies.Making money with adwords is a skill, treat it as such.You need to put some time to it, don't expect everything to work perfectly from the first time. But I guess it will pay off later.You would be surprised of how many tricks you can find out in a course, that you would take years to find out on your own You can search for a course on Clickbank I guess...

I tottaly agree with this.

 

AdWords is the best way for our brand exposure. I am still using it to expand my brand to other countries.

 

If you can create a best campaign with good settings (if its small business use custom targeting). keep on mind relevant keywords,ad copy and website then you will get good quality score then u cpc will decreasing. then you definitively get ROI for any business...

 

Google adwords are for generating traffic by your keyword. This paid marketing proves very beneficial.

 

Rauny I don't agree with you ... google adwords to help generating traffic for any keyword... through search you can get ROI... through display we can create a branding for any site... now we have lanch youtube ads. to get more business to google adwords costumers...

 

Hi I am very happy google adwords to generate traffic. but only one dangerous. if we are doing bad campaign will end last our money.

try to use less "competitive" keywords. You can find the keyword competitiveness in the keyword tool.

 

We use AdWords purely for generating leads, and it works fairly well... we target campaigns to countries where other forms of online advertising don't reach as well (forum ads, etc), in an attempt to generate interest for our service. I do not know our specific conversion rate from AdWords, but we are definitely happy with it!

 

I don't use it since almost every campaign I launch gets slapped

 

I use extremely targeted word for my website and get sales but that wouldn't work for adsense ads or many other ad forms

 

im happy with it it works since it targets people for very specific words. u can target traffic to ur site all day but if its just more people who dont do anything, then u dont get anything out of it. quality not quantity is the key...
