I am looking into buying a tablet within the next few months. I am looking at mostly the Xoom and blackberry playbox. Tell me why YOU think the playbox is better than the Motorola Xoom?
Blackberry boasts about the Playbook's ability to run Android applications...what they don't mention is that each developer has to repackage their application specifically for Blackberry's OS. Steer clear of the Playbook, I say. It looks pretty, I'll admit (I'm a fan of their WebOS-inspired UI)...but it won't ever come close to Android's usability (and rapidly-growing app catalog).
Do you have a link or source for the claim you make about needing to repackage applications, MickJagger?
To me, the Playbook is tempting. As long as the Core apps come out, I'll be happy. Besides, It totally kills the Tegra 2 devices with their lack of video codec support, so if you want to use it for the Video Playback, the Playbook wins. I just hope RIM can play catch up.
