    The question was, "why do you smoke cigarettes", not "do you smoke" or "why don't you smoke". ;)

    I don't smoke. But most of mu friends who smoke usually say it is to help free them from stress. Don't know how true that theory is.

    It's an addiction, when one receives what they are addicted to, obviously they would be inclined to be more relaxed/stress-free. If you have stress, and you never had a cigarette before, smoking one probably won't "relieve" you.

    I'm not addicted to smoking...dunno why I started smoking but I don't quit because I don't have a good enough reason to quit.

    I want to be let live for more time so I DO NOT SMOKE. furthermore i don't get any reason for smoking it doesn't have good flavor. It makes me feel disgusting.
