Right firstly everyone has at least one favourite website that they spend more time on then the others and my question is why? Why do you love this 1 website better then the other? Does it make more money or do you do it as a hobby or do you do it cos you can? My favourite out of mine is my just-4-teens site, i do this website without a care in the world, and have continued to build it because it has dawn on me what its all about. it is not about how much money it makes cos i dont care and its not about how good it looks to a 30 yo webmaster. I build this site because it provides a great resource and helps a lot of teenagers that are seeking advice but dont have the courage to ask someone face-2-face and it also provides them with a place where they can ask for help if they want to. And also in the near future i will be adding more content on the stuff that people dont like to discuss as a whole, things like rape, suicide, violence and the kind of things that you see on tv and you think how could someone do that because at the end of the day it happens (not just to teens) and IMO there is not enough to the point information/advice out there on the web that people can access to help them deal with these situations. Once again (incase you forget) the question i asked was "Why Do You Make Your Website??"
thats the best reason to build a website for, build it because you can and because you've got nothing else to do, then in the long run it dosnt matter if it flops because you had plans on it making millions a day but if it does congrats to you.
1. Because it's a creative outlet - the ultimate in self-actualization pretty much. 2. For the £££'s.
In 1995 Netscape's graphic web browser had just been released. A friend had a copy of Lamay's learn html in just a week. I read it and thought this is neat, what can I do with it. The rest is history. Shannon
It's much more fun to do this than having a so called 'real' 40 hour a week job. Work at home, in your spare time. Let your computer make you money while you sleep!! LEGALLY!! And have fun at da same time!!
The site I've spent the most time on is because its a web application that I wanted to see (sitejot)... I'm one of my biggest users
Well i think im lucky here... Im doing something i enjoy, i like the people and my little community. On top of everything im making money and this is what motivates my constant development/improvement. I run a few other websites just for profit and these are often sold half way as i just get bored of them
