Folks - I would like to know what are the prominent reasons that you join a forum site.Below are few of the options, please select the option which you think is the "reason you use a forum site" 1.To share knowledge with other publishers and webmasters 2.To learn new things from other people of the same field. 3.To get backlinks through the signature ( I am not sure whether it is actually called a backlink or not ) 4.To bring traffic to your site or blog There might be several other reasons that you might join a forum for - please do let everybody know what makes you join a forum site. Thanks Nikhil
I'd say 1,2,3, but most often when I join a new forum it is to ask a very specific question that I think people in the forum might be able to answer. (such as where to find restuarants in Chicago with "spicy" food).
All of the above - and yes it is called a backlink Related to your no. 2: to know what people in this field are discussing.
I join forums for all these reasons but mostly to learn from others that are more experienced than myself
Usually I join a forum to ask or answer a question that nobody else has, and to feel part of a community, never to drive traffic to any of my sites.
Pretty much 2 through 4. But I only share knowledge after learning enough to either share or point someone in the right direction to get the appropiate info they require. As far as 4 goes. It doesnt necessarily bring in tons of traffic. But enough to get a few hits if I pick the right keywords for my blog posting or in my signature link.
definitely all of the ones above.. and this forum is really good to learn new stuffz about being a webmaster.. LOL
I typically join forums because I like the topic and want to talk about it, but not usually to get backlinks or anything like that.
Mainly to learn new stuff of course. Thanks to forums, Im able to learn new things that i never know.
Let's make a poll on this topic & also I come here to get some money making ideas and improve on my SEO skills. I think that is the prime reason we are all here.
