I'm just curious, why do you have google toolbar installed? I installed it when I started a directory and it provides some good useful tools to "judge" a site before approving it etc. Pop up blocker is inbuilt in IE itself, so I disabled it in toolbar... I used google's "website" earlier to search, (almost all the time) , now I type in toolbar. What other features do you use or are we in the same boat? Thanks
I use Google toolbar in IE and searchstatus in Firefox which gives better information for SEO. Google Toolbar gives quick access in searching and also give PR.
Personally, I hate to install any toolbar to IE, it is easy to install but a lot of problem when you want to remove or uninstall. Howerver, Extension Firefox is easy to manage and better than toolbar in IE
I use the "add/remove programs" option in "control panel". Just 1 click to uninstall toolbar from there... (Close all IE windows before removing.) How do you do it? Bye
Essentially it is spyware! I just wish my anti-spyware would detect it. Its also bundled with hundreds of software and is opt out rather than opt in (in that the option to install is pre-selected) As privacy experts have been warning. If you use Google search, dont use Gmail or their other services if you dont want your searches tied to your gmail account.
It's an optional button. The icon looks like a folder with a green arrow pointing up on it. The funtion is to take you up one folder. Example Your are at: link/folder1/folder2/index.html Hit the up icon one time and you are now at... link/folder1/index.html
