Why do you expect high paying clicks?

Most of you webmasters are overloading the market. There is 1,000 new arcades being put up per day, 1,000 MySpace clones, 1,000 YouTube clones, and 1,000 other things of that nature. So why would you expect 10-15 cents per click? Assuming Google takes 50%, you're expecting a fellow webmaster to pay 20 cents per click to a site related to one of yours (arcade, MySpace, YouTube, etc.) Would you ever pay 20 cents for a visitor to your arcade site?

If you do have quality traffic, why not switch to affiliate programs for these overcrowded sites. Get your arcade members to buy a t-shirt - you'll make $2/sale. Have one of your YouTube clone people to purchase legal movies online for $10 - you'll make a dollar or two.

Now the less overcrowded markets might pay higher per click, because it's harder to get traffic. You don't see any cancer sites getting 5,000 uniques/day.

Just think - if you want 20 cent clicks, you're expecting someone to pay 40 cents. Would you pay that much?

I agree, but getting success in affiliate programs is not so easy as earning in adsense, you should have much knowledge using affiliate programs as nothing but only to get traffic in adsense... few niches out there to get $1/click and am getting as well.. better I say, can use both affiliate programs and PPC as well..

(by the way, this is my post no. 1000 :) )

people put adsense because they hope to earn money. people use adwords beacuse they hope to get visitor. If there are more competition on the niche, sure they will willing to pay 40 cents per click to draw customers to their site. However those site might be the site that could earn money from being mamber or something so they can get more in return. also there are still many sites that willing to pay even 1$ for a click to get their target customer even it's arcade site. so dont worry about high paying click just get traffic for yous site. ^^

That's the OP's point. How do you get a lot of traffic for your arcade/directory/MFA website when there are 1000 others just like it going up every day? What separates your site from any of the other ones??

Just wishing for a lot of traffic doesn't mean that it's going to happen especially if your site looks just like all the others.

I don't expect high paying clicks.

I expect google to filter out those crap MFAA that pay 0.01-0.05 per click (which is just ridiculous and out of hand). Since google DOESN'T filter out those type of ads and every time you put a new one into the block filter, 10 more pop up... what can you do to improve your earnings?

I think, if an advertiser wants my VALUED visitor, they should PAY for it, not some cheap pennies per click which adsense has literally turned into for most niches.

I filter out as many adds as I can.. I'm just thinking of ways not to rely on adsense not so much and offer say a premium service.

I hate filtering ads and when the hell are google going to make the Competitive Ad Filter compatible with other browsers including their own chrome I hate the thought of even opening Internet explorer.
