Why do webmasters seem to prefer FireFox over Internet Explorer, even though IE is the most popular browser with general users.

I like FF more because I think it is easier to use and more reliable than IE but that is just my opinion :)

It is more secure than IE, and most of the general public isn't as obsessed with computers as us, so they just use whatever browser comes with the OS. Whereas most webmasters will go way out of their way to make their workstation just the way they want it to be.

Also, I really like all the plugins you can get for FF.

I don't know if IE has started doing this, but the very few times that FF has ever crashed on me (on a windows machine, btw) it has the option when you start it back up to restore your session, so you don't even lose anything! Does IE do that too? I'm not sure.
