I am pretty sure Matt Cutts has stated at some time in his blog that a higher PR will get your site crawled deep (or better).
Sure, PR is one of the many factors that have an impact on your SERPs. You don't know your real PR, though (which is updated very fast), so you should just stop worrying about it, and just do your link building and focus on your rankings. The problem of people being obsessed with PR is because Google gave us the toolbar to measure the "toolbar PR" (which is updated every 3-4 months). Due to its nature, toolbar PR, however, cannot be used as a reliable, accurate source of info. Anyway, PR seems to be the only rank factor whose existence Google has officially confirmed (Google hasn't even confirmed anchor texts are important for SEO ), so naturally people think PR is the be-all, end-all Warkot
Really?? Your ranking in SERPs and PR are two different things. The correct answer to your questioin is to increase the price value of link sales.
actually PR do not matter in google indexing ....the PR is anly for explaning the site's quality links.....the google indexing is is on the no of backlinks
Most people like going on pages with high ranking pages. also having a high ranking page is easier for you to link with other peoples websites
Right, toolbar PR is to help increase only the price value of links sales. But the real PR, which always update and we don't know, is really important for SERPs
webgenius, most people are just surfers who know nothing about SEO and PR (not that it means anything ), so they don't care. What they care about is content. Warkot
